German, Düsseldorf born,  singer Patricia von Andersen studied  classical voice and political science at Freie Universität Berlin, YALE University (USA), Universität Mozarteum Salzburg (Austria) and Leeds College of Music (U.K.) where she graduated with a Masters Degree in Classical Vocal Performance,as well as Interior Design in Hamburg and London.

She was member of the Dublin Opera Studio and gained further experiences at Opernhaus Zürich.

Recently she sang Sieglinde from Wagners Die Walküre at Markgräfliches Opernhaus in Bayreuth. 

Patricia von Andersen made her Puccini debut with the role of Zia Principessa in the opera Suor ngelica in Dublin at the Dulin Opera Studio, followed by singing the same role at the Greek Opera Festival in Thessaloniki.

Thereafter in 2017 Patricia gave her debut as Octavia in Monteverdi´s opera L´incoronazione di Poppea in Athens.

Current planned projects include the roles of  Sieglinde, Azucena, Amneris, Ortrud and Kundry as well as various Lied recitals.

Patricia studied with acclaimed american tenor and vocal pedagogue James McCray in the Netherlands and David Jones in New York.

She is a Alumna of the Grace Bumbry Vocal and Opera Academy in Berlin,  the Menuhin Festival Opera Academy in Gstaad, Switzerland and the Eva Lind Musikakademie Tirol.

Miss von Andersen has had the pleasure of participating in master classes with renowned artists such as Grace Bumbry, Edda Moser, Cecilia Bartoli, Christa Ludwig, Frank van Aken, Gidon Saks, Rosalind Plowright,  Silvana Bartoli Bazzoni, Eva Lind, David L. Jones, Susannah Glanville and Roman Trekel.

She is a recipient of Scholarships from the International Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation Bayreuth, the Menuhin Festivald Gstaad Opera Academy, Leeds College of Music, the London Master Classes,  Eva Lind Musikakademie Tirol and the DAAD Scholarship (German Academic Exchange Office) for studies at YALE University, USA.

In the past she has studied voice with David L. Jones in New York, Grace Bumbry in Berlin and Salzburg, soprano Mary Plazas, tenor Paul Nilon and conductor Peter Selwyn in the UK.

Miss von Andersen has performed extensively in Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Poland and the United States.

She colaborated with Dublin Opera Studio, Skull of Yorik Productions, The Greek Opera Festival among others.

Recently she sang the "Wesendonck Lieder" by Richard Wagner with Symphony Orchestra at the LCM / BBC Yorkshire in Leeds / UK.

Patricia von Andersen participated in the Richard Wagner Academy in s ´Hertogenbosch (Netherlands) for young Wagnerian voices and worked with the great Masters in the field of Richard Wagner´s music such as Nadine Secunde, Wolfgang Brendel, Siegfried Jerusalem, Dunja Vejsovic,, Ed Spanjaard, Klaus Sallmann and Peter Lockwood.

Patricia finished her apprenticeship at Opernhaus Zürich in Switzerland, where she studied the role of Leonore in L. v. Beethovens opera Fidelio.
